STARRY NIGHTS

It’s important that we never lose sight of what makes the Colorado Rockies and the Fraser Valley in particular so special. Day and night. So every measure will be taken to make Roam a “dark-sky” community. Meaning, lights will be aimed towards the ground on walkways, only where needed, instead of up and around, where light pollution can hinder celestial views.

STEWARDSHIP

Nobody is more acutely aware of the effects of climate change than those who live in a mountain town. To that end, every effort will be made to create an appropriately green, eco-conscious place. In fact, almost 70-percent of Roam will be retained as open space. Walkability, dark skies, river restoration, and environmental education are all part of what make Roam Colorado’s most innovative new mountain community.

Gently
down
the
stream

With nearly a mile of Fraser River frontage, Roam’s future is beautifully intertwined with the river. We restored the habitat for fish, birds and pollinators, with access for fly fishing and other forms of light recreation. We are committed to ensuring that these waters continue to be a source of enjoyment, education and scientific advancement for generations to come.

Locally Grown

First and foremost, we are stewards of this land. We are local, so we understand what’s at stake: no less than the town’s character and greater Fraser Valley environment. We acquired the land, formerly a dude ranch, to ensure this important gateway to the town grows in a respectful way. This is the same careful hand we brought to the creation of Hideaway Station. Our hope is to make Roam another point of pride for Winter Park, Grand County and Colorado.
